Solnechny Outskirts and MTE

Solnechny Outskirts

Solnechny Outskirts is a starter location designed primarily for low-level players. Here you can complete your first quests, get used to game mechanics, and prepare for further adventures.

The location has transitions to the following zones: Solnechny town, MTE, Big Village, Forestry, Minaev’s territory, and Swamp.

The map below shows:

  • location of the well for the faction quest “Poison Water” for Black Sunset (blue marker);
  • location of the Note “Motor Transport Enterprise” (yellow marker);
  • location of the key for the quest “Antique Key” (pink marker);
  • location of gasoline barrels (red markers).

Solnechny Town

Solnechny Town is a small but one of the liveliest locations in the game, as this is where all newcomers end up after completing the tutorial in the Camp.

Several exits lead from the location to Solnechny Outskirts, and a No-PK mode is in effect throughout the territory.

This is where all main story quest chains begin, which: introduce the game lore, help understand basic mechanics, direct to other locations, and most importantly – allow completing the main part of tasks necessary for joining a faction.

This location is also perfect for making new acquaintances and starting cooperative play. Generally, high-level players rarely come here, so it will be easier to find common ground and play together with other newcomers.

Do not neglect quests and the opportunity to communicate – this is where your game begins, and how you start it will largely determine how long you stay in the project.

MTE

MTE (Motor Transport Enterprise) is one of the starter locations for beginners in the game. Here they can complete story quests received from NPCs in Solnechny. In the crates scattered across the location, you can find black metal, rubber, sulfur, and other items needed for story quests or which can be sold to earn some money. There is also plenty of wood here. The location is inhabited by “Watchers”, from whom you can obtain not only quest items but also resources for painting armor and weapons. These resources can also be consigned for other players, helping beginners earn starting capital. For experienced players, the location is interesting because here you can find a lot of charcoal needed for crafting ammo and filters for gasoline washing.

There are two transitions to the location, located in Solnechny Outskirts. Both transitions are displayed on the map.

MTE

LORE: Location History

The MTE location is situated near the town of “Solnechny”, or to be more precise, in its outskirts. This was formerly a motor transport enterprise where various machinery was serviced for the needs of local residents.

“Despite the fact that the MTE was abandoned many years ago and has been inactive for a long time, over the years since the Catastrophe, far from everything has been stolen from the enterprise. This is primarily due to the dangers one can encounter there. Besides dangerous anomalies, unusual creatures called ‘Watchers’ inhabit the MTE.

At first glance, they may seem harmless, but if you turn your back on them, in the best traditions of the wastelands, they will stab you in the back. Or to be precise – they will definitely attack and gnaw you to death. Even without warning. These creatures are excellent at camouflaging themselves to blend in with the environment, like chameleons, and this is what makes them even more insidious. Where they came from is unknown to anyone. But if you find yourself at the MTE… be careful”.

The provided map shows the main markers that will allow you to:

  • Explore the MTE 100%;
  • Complete the quest “Stashes in Anomalies” (Barman’s tasks). You need to stand next to the Radio Teleporter. The teleports themselves throw you randomly around the location and can lead to “stashes” with loot;
  • Find the Air Filter for the quest “Engine” from Grisha Mazuta (appears individually when the quest is active). It lies in an iron crate in the “pit”;
  • Find the NDP detector body for the quest “Repair the NDP detector” (room locked with Key No. 13);
  • Find the power supply unit for assembling I-HR and I-SAAC, threads for crafting chitin armor, charcoal, battery.
